Regional Authority makes new Regional Planning Guidelines 2010- 2022
The members of the South-East Regional Authority at their meeting held in Carlow on 26th July 2010 made new Regional Planning Guidelines (RPG) for the South-East Region covering the period 2010-2022. These RPG replace the Guidelines made by the Authority in 2004.
The making of the RPG was the culmination of a year-long process that involved a detailed review and update of the 2004 Guidelines, extensive public consultation, strategic environmental and Habitats Directive assessment and strategic flood risk assessment.
The RPG, which will guide the development of the South-East Region over the period 2010-2022, provide a framework for implementation of the National Spatial Strategy at regional level and for guiding local authority development plans and local area plans.
